GroWorx is committed to ensuring and providing for the welfare of the employees. This section details the pay periods, company-granted benefits and statutory benefits available to employees. 

Note: Groworx has the right to change the benefits given to the employees at any given point in time. 


Payroll Schedule


The company’s pay periods are semi-monthly (given on the 5th and 20TH day of each month). If a pay period falls on a weekend, employees are paid on Friday that proceeds the set pay period. 



Company-granted Benefits


All employees are entitled to a 13th month pay equivalent to one (1) month basic salary.  Employees who have rendered less than one year of service shall receive a 13th month pay on a pro-rata basis. Employees receive the 13th month pay before December 24.



Leave Credits


All employees are eligible for 20 days of Vacation Leave and 10 days of Sick Leave annually, accrued on a monthly basis. Vacation leaves are accrued at 1.66 monthly while Sick Leaves are accrued at 0.83 monthly.


    Vacation Leaves


    All employees are required to secure a pre-approval before availing their Vacations Leaves. Employees are required to notify their immediate supervisors prior availing the leave benefit, as per below:

Sick Leaves

    

Employees who are unable to report to work due to illness or injury must notify their manager at least 2 hours before the scheduled start of their workday.  The manager must also be contacted on each additional day of absence. Failure to do so could result in forfeiture of sick leave and/or termination.  


Upon return, employees must file their leave in Sprout. Employees who are absent for 2 or more consecutive days must, upon their return, present a doctor's note with notification of “fit to work”.  Absences of 2 or more consecutive days not accompanied by a doctor's note will be considered unexcused.

Maternity Leave 


Female employees who are on family way are entitled to a maternity leave benefit of up to 105 days of paid maternity  leave (60 calendar days for normal delivery and 78 calendar days for caesarian section) for each pregnancy.


  • The employee must accomplish an SSS maternity notification form and submit this to her supervisor as soon as the pregnancy is ascertained.


  • When an employee is on maternity leave, she does not receive a salary from GroWorx.  She is, however, entitled to maternity benefits from the Social Security System (SSS).


  • Two weeks prior to the start of the maternity leave, the employee must file a leave request form accompanied by a certification from a physician indicating the probable date of childbirth.


  • Upon delivery, or in cases of miscarriage, leave application and supporting documents may be filed within five (5) days from the date of confinement.

  • Maternity leave must be taken as a single, uninterrupted period at the time of the child's birth.The leave can’t be deferred, but it can be taken as a combination of pre- and post-natal leave — post-natal leave can’t be less than 60 days. 


  • Vacation leave and sick leave credits continue to accrue while the employee is on maternity leave.


Paternity Leave


Married male employees are granted a paternity leave of seven (7) days for the first four (4) deliveries of the legitimate spouse.


The employee may avail of the paternity leave during or after delivery of the spouse, but not later than sixty (60) days from the date of delivery.


He should submit the following requirements to his immediate supervisor:


  • Paternity Notification Form and Marriage Contract – at least one month prior to the expected date of delivery


  • Paternity Leave Form


  • Birth certificate of the newborn child
